Roger love you my man, but really have to admit I was disheartened to see you fall in line with the circling of the establishment wagons on around Ron Paul. Here is an articel vindicating his allegation that the Fed. Reserve Cartel was shipping Saddam money... In these times of Mitt, Palin,Huck with all their dreary neo conservative positions Dr, Paul is the only light most of us traditional conservative republicans have. We are at the one of the most critical times in our history and I belive it is of the utmost importance that we take the time to re establish ourselves as a party/movement that is dynamic and in the end in the best interest of the American People. Minimizing the fact that Dr. Paul was a smash hit at cpac gives me the idea that you are just part of the neo conservative establishment of Bush, Cheney,Palin, etc...They have no place in the conservative future and in fact we cannot distance ourselves far enough from them. Dr. Paul appeals to a voting block that has for the most part completely abandon us, the youth. The youth as you and I know are bombarded by everything from the high schools and universities, to MTV with progressive/socialist messages. It appears compassionate and altruistisc to them. None of the candidates on the Republican ticket in the last presidential election, except Ron Paul were able to portray those emotions. He is what we want our future generation to look up too, he belives in personal accountability in how we treat the world around us, and posses an organic honesty none of the other candidates posses. You have always been a leader Roger, thanks for your consideration.. |

Hello Freedom,
I think that I am a traditional conservative republican but I an not as enamored of Ron Paul as you are, so exercise care when you make sweeping statements about "most of us traditional conservative republicans".
Ron Paul is not a candidate I will support.
I like Sarah Palin much better than I do Ron Paul.
Sorry.

Well with all due respect you might want to admit that your not a traditional true conservative, but rather a neo conservative. And thats where the rift occurs in the party. Palin is a gimmick, a pop up toy of the neo conservatives, a distraction. She provides theatre to detract from the cancer that prevails within the conservative movement. As Obama symbolizes the end of the progressive era, so too does Pailn/McCain/Bohner/Cheney/Bush/ and the like end the Neo Con era. If we dont address AND DEMAND, a return to sound money, and end to this disasterous theatre we call the war on terror, the astonishing spending that occured under NEO CON George W Bush and now Obama, The restoration of civil liberties etc... its the death bed for the U.S.A.. And NO OTHER POLITICIAN in this country has EVER even come within a mile of Ron Paul when it comes to a PERFECT conservative voting record.... If its not him, it better be someone just like him, or its just another term of the Americans getting laughed at by the NEO CONS or the PROGRESSIVES. And really, they are not that far apart. Bush and Obama, barely any difference...And the old tired uptight double standard closeted homosexuals who get caught taking trips to Argentina etc etc etc... well the younger Americans we neeed, are just flat turned off by those old hypocrits. I mean one thing you can say about Obama, is he is doing what he said he was going to do... Thats reveals stronger charachter than Bush even though his adgenda is terrifying... Pick which side your on... to help, here is a link to understand the difference betrween Neo Conservatism and Traditional Republicanism..

I've voted conservative in every election since I got back from VietNam in 1965 at the age of 21. If that makes me a neo-conservative then I guess I am one. I really think of myself more as a Conservative than a Republican. If I ever thought a Libertarian candidate had a hope in hell of winning an election, I might vote for one of them. The only Democrat I have voted for was Governor Arnold. I thought he was a Republican. He sounded like a Republican. Unfortunately, he seems to govern like a liberal.
I agree that Bush was not a Reagan conservative. I only voted for McCain because he had Sarah Palin as his running mate. I like what she says. I like what she did for Alaska when she was Governor. I agree that there are lots of problems in the Republican party. I don't know why, but they seem to be trying to act like "Democrat Lite". Not true Democrats, but I think they think that's what they have to do to get votes. |
