The Obama administration gave New Era Broadband $408,009 in stimulus funds to provide "broadband and high speed broadband services to over three thousand unserved residences, businesses and critical facilities in rural Appalachian Meigs County Ohio, providing economic development opportunities and facilitating emergency services."
But New Era is one of many companies on the non-compliance list for failure to tell the government how it spent stimulus money. My own analysis shows New Era made the following payments:
The above accounts for $332,384, leaving $66,738 in expenses that have not been documented.
